I understand that it is a big ask to be vulnerable about the different problems that are impacting your relationship. The specific approach I use will depend on the nature of the problem you present.

Types of approaches used:

  • • Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy
  • • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
  • • Narrative Therapy
  • • Collaborative approach

Adult Therapy

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming—many people sense they need support but aren't sure how to begin. My approach is to meet you where you are. Together, we'll explore what brought you to therapy, develop a clear understanding of your needs, and tailor a plan that feels manageable and is meaningful for you. The specific approach I use will depend on the nature of the problem.

Types of approaches include:

  • • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
  • • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • • Prolonged Exposure (PE)
  • • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

A Little About Me

Stephanie Mitchell

I'm a proud mother, a lifelong reader, and a big fan of Jane Austen and her timeless wisdom on love, growth, and second chances. When I'm not reading love stories or period dramas, I'm reading fantasy novels such as Lord of the Rings—Gimli is my favorite! I also love to watch period dramas and rom-coms, and I'm obsessed with Korean and Chinese dramas. I cherish time with my family—my daughter has just launched from home, and my son is a junior in high school getting ready for his last year of school!

I bring that same warmth, curiosity, and belief in people's capacity for change into my work.

You don't have to navigate this alone.

I'm here when you're ready.
